At 2,650m in J&K, Gulmarg stays snowy through March. Ride the Gondola to Apharwat Peak (3,980m) where thick snow often lasts into early spring.
Spiti (3,800m) remains frozen in March. Villages like Kaza and Kibber stay snow-covered. Roads via Manali are shut; access is usually via Shimla.
