Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand is one of the most important pilgrimage (or tirth yatra) in Hinduism. Devotees always aspire to visit this holy char dham pilgrimage once in a life time for it is believed that once you complete a trip to the holy circuit of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath & Badrinath; it washes away all your sins and opens the doors to heaven that is called Moksha (or salvation).

Day 1 : Delhi - Haridwar (230 Km / 6 to 7 hrs)

On arriving in New Delhi, start your drive to Haridwar. On your way to Haridwar, get your Biometric done for the Yatra. On reaching Haridwar, check-in to your hotel. In the evening, you can go to Har- Ki- Pauri for attending the grand Ganga Aarti on the banks of Ganges. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and have a comfortable stay at night.

Day 2 :Haridwar- Barkot (190 Km / 6 to 7 hrs) / Janki Chatti (245 Km / 8 to 9 hrs)

This morning, you depart for Barkot / Jankichatti. Barkot is a beautiful hill station which is located on the foot of Yamunotri. As you drive through Mussoorie, you can visit the famous Kempty Falls on your way. Kempty falls is the star attraction of Mussoorie. People from all over the world visit the place to have a look at these spectacular waterfalls.

On reaching Barkot, check-in to your hotel/camp. Relax for the rest of the day. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 3 :Barkot/ Jankichatti - Yamunotri - Barkot / Jankichatti (48 Km / 2 hrs)/ (8 km/30 min)

After having your breakfast at the hotel, depart for Yamunotri. On reaching Yamunotri, begin your first Pahad Yatra to Yamunotri which is a 6 Km trek. You have an option of hiring palki or a horse for your trek. (Cost Not Included).

On your trek, you enjoy the sight of lush green valley and a variety of species of Himalayan shrubs. Yamunotri is the one of the shrines of the Char Dhams. The temple at Yamunotri is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna who present in the form of a black marble idol in the temple.

Yamunotri is the source of the river Yamuna which is also the daughter of Surya, the Sun. Start your trek back to Yamunotri in the afternoon. On returning, take a holy dip in Yamuna River and perform all the rituals. Return back to Barkot/ Jankichatti, check-in to the Hotel / Camp. Have your dinner and have a comfortable stay at night.

Day 4 :Barkot/ Jankichatti- Uttarkashi (85 Km/ 3 hrs)(135 Km / 5 hrs)

After having your breakfast, check out from the hotel. Start your drive to your next destination, Uttarkashi. On reaching Uttarkashi, check-in to the hotel. Set on the banks of river Bhagirathi, Uttarkashi is well known for its historical monuments, Temples and Ashrams. After taking some rest for the day, you can go a stroll around the place.

In the evening, attend the famous aarti at Vishwanath Temple. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 :Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 Km / 3 to 4 hrs)

Have your breakfast early in the morning and then start driving towards Gangotri. Gangotri is a popular Hindu pilgrimage town which is set on the banks of river Bhagirathi. River Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this place. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga.

On reaching Gangotri, perform Pooja and other rituals. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi. Have your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 :Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (240 Km / 9 to 10 hrs)

Leave for your next destination, Guptkashi after having your breakfast early in the morning. On reaching, check-in to the hotel. Guptkashi is located at a distance of 47 km from the holy shrine, Kedarnath. The town holds immense religious importance as it houses famous ancient temples like Vishwanath Temple and Ardhnareshwar Temple.

Get your medical checkup done for your next day journey to Kedarnath. Have your dinner and stay overnight in the hotel/camp.

Day 7 :Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath (35 Km + 17 Km trek)

Get up early in the morning and check out from the hotel after having your breakfast. Start your drive to Gaurikund which is set at a distance of around 33 km. On reaching Gaurikund, begin with your trek to Kedarnath. Kedarnath is a well-known pilgrimage destination for the Hindus.

Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. To reach the temple, you can hire a palki or a horse (Cost Not Included). On your way to the temple, you will get to experience the unexplored sights of the snow capped mountains. On reaching, check-in at the Govt. Camps/Lodges. Have your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 :Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Guptkashi (17 Km trek + 35 Km drive)

This morning you get up before dawn and take a bath. Later, you go to the temple for the 'Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. After Darshan and Puja, return to your respective Camps / Lodges. Start with your trek from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. At Sonprayag, your car awaits which will take you back to your hotel at Guptkashi. On reaching Guptkashi, have your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 :Guptkashi - Joshimath - Badrinath (190 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)

After having your breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel and start driving towards your next destination, Badrinath via Joshimath. Badrinath is an important pilgrimage site which holds immense importance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is set at a height of 3133 meter.

On reaching Badrinath, check-in to the hotel. After taking some rest and refreshments, leave for you are all set to go to Badrinath Temple for Darshan. After Darshan, return to the hotel. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 :Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag (165 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)

This morning, visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan. Later, return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you can leave for local sightseeing at Badrinath. Visit major attractions of Badrinath such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti temple.

In the afternoon, check out from the hotel and head towards Rudraprayag via Joshimath. En-route visit Karanprayag. Rudra Prayag holds great religious importance. Day 5:Guptkashi - Joshimath - Badrinath (190 Km / 7 to 8 hrs)

Check out from the hotel in the morning and start driving towards Badrinath via Joshimath. Enjoy your drive till Badrinath. On reaching Badrinath, check-in to the hotel. Take some rest and then leave for Badrinath Temple for Darshan in the evening.

Reach Tapt Kund (Hot Spring) for a bath and then go to the Badrinath temple. Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and people from all over the world visit the temple to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu. Later, return to the hotel. Have your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6:Badrinath - Joshimath - Rudraprayag (165 Km / 5 to 6 hrs)

Begin your day with Darshan at Badrinath Temple. Return to the hotel for your breakfast. Later, leave for local sightseeing at Badrinath. Day 1:Srinagar - Sonmarg

Upon arrival in Srinagar you will be picked up from Srinagar airport and assisted in a smooth transfer to Sonamarg for overnight stay in the hotel booked as per your requirements.

Day 2:Sonamarg - Baltal - Amarnath Cave

On the second day of your Amarnath Yatra Tour Package by Helicopter, you will be transferred to Neelgrath in Baltal by car. Neelrgath is where the helipad is located.

Weather permitiing, helicopters from Baltal operate between 6:00 Am to 5:00 PM. The helicopter ride will drop you at Panjtarni. The Amarnath Cave is located 6 KM further up from here.

From Panjtarni helipad, visit Amarnath Cave (6 K.M from Panjtarni) on foot (2 hrs walk), hitch a pony ride or you may even hire a palki.

The cave is a sea of tranquility and spirituality. Behold the massive shiv lingam which forms naturally of snow every year. Besides the massive shiv lingams are two smaller ice lingams which are believed to represent Ma Parvati and Lord Ganesha.

After darshan, come back to Panjtarni to take the ride back to Neelgrath Helipad in Baltal. From here, you will be transferred back to Srinagar to check into a deluxe houseboat. Dinner and overnight stay in houseboat in Srinagar.

Day 04 : Amritsar - Tarn Taran - Gobindwal - Hazoor Sahib - Amritsar

Morning excursion to Tarn Taran (22 kms / 45 minutes), famous for a gurudwara standing on the side of a large tank and built in honour of Guru Arjun Dev. Lepers come from far -off places to have a dip in the tank, for it is believed that its water can help cure leprosy. Proceed to Gobindwal (23 kms /30 minutes) , a short run from Tarn Taran connected to the memory of Guru Amardas who lived there. A gurudwara built by the Guruji still stands there. Since no place was available for a tank, an underground 'Baoli' was constructed near the gurudwara with a flight of 84 steps leading to it. Continue onto Hazoor Sahib (10 kms / 15 minutes) , where the Samadhi (memorial) of the second Sikh guru, Guru Angad Dev ji , was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1815. Return to Amritsar. Afternoon visit the Golden Temple - built in the midst of the holy pool by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1803. It is also known as Darbar Sahib or Har Mandir Sahib. The dome of the temple is covered with an estimated 400 kgs of gold leaf, hence its popular name the 'Golden Temple'. The interiors of the temple, like wise, decorated by inlay work with delicate floral patterns are done with semi precious stones. Adjoining the pool is Akal Takht , established by the sixth Sikh guru, Guru Hargobind Singh. It is seat of the supreme head of the Sikh religious authority. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 : Amritsar - Jalianwala Bagh - Baba Bakala - Waga Border - Amritsar

Morning visit Jailianwala Bagh ( 24 kms / 45 minutes) , the historic site where hundreds of innocent Indian men, women and children were massacred by British General Michael Dyer on April 13 , 1919. A memorial and garden have been created here as a national monument. Proceed to Baba Bakala ( 21 kms / 45 minutes) , a place associated with ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Tegh Bahadur, having a magnificent gurudwara where people gather in thousands on every "Amavas". An annual fair is held on Raksha Bandhan with about hundred thousand people visiting the place, commemorating the day when the ninth guru was located by his followers. A Dip In The Hemkund Sarovar

Hemkund is surround by seven snow covered peaks and their reflection in the bluish-green water is a picture to behold. The lake is a great pilgrimage place for the Sikhs. In the Guru Granath Sahib. Guru Govind Singh made a reference that in one of his previous births he had mediated on the shores of a lake which was surrounded by seven snow covered peaks. Day 04 : Kaziranga National Park
The park lies in the flood plains of the Bramaputra River, sloping a gradually from east to west. With lush forests and woodlands, it is natural habitat for many species of animals. Kaziranga it is the stronghold of the One Horned Indian Rhinoceros, with numbers around 1000. The wild elephant number around 700. Wild buffalo, mouse deer, hog, bears, leopard and around 50 magnificent tigers are tabulated to be at this park. Countless birds are everywhere. Today we enjoy morning and afternoon safari by Jeeps. Day 05 : Kaziranga National Park / New Delhi

Day 06 : New Delhi

This morning we spend most of the day touring New Delhi and Old Delhi. Visit Humayun's and Safdarjungs tombs the Qutab Minar and Iron Pillar, the Embassy area, the Parliament buildings ending at Connaught Place, the heart of the capitals shopping and banking district. The afternoon we leave the new capital, crossing through the walled gates and into the old city. Here, teaming with history, we explore the Jamma Mosque, the Red Fort, and the crematoriums of Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. One of the highlights of today's tour is a fascinating ride on a bicycle rickshaw through the markets of Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's bustling shopping and bazaar area. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 07 : New Delhi / Jaipur (252 kms 5 Hrs)
This morning depart by road to the Jaipur "Pink City" of India. Along our route stop at Neemrama fort to view the ruins and continue our drive to Jaipur. On arrival at the outskirts of the city at Amber Fort, we board brightly decorated elephants for a ride to the top of the fortress, as did the Maharajas of days gone by. Once inside the fortress, our guide will escort us through hidden passageways, various chambers and a historic discourse that will remain with you for long after. Day 08 : Jaipur

Day 09 : Jaipur / Ranthambore National Park

This morning drive east through rural India to Ranthambore National Park ( 185 kms / 4 hrs). The spectacle of the Ganga rushing through the Himalayan foothills is an awesome sight. Several temples dot the banks of the Ganga at Rishikesh. Rishikesh is located at a height of about 1360 feet above sea level. Rishikesh represents the site where Vishnu vanquished the demon Madhu. Tapovan on the other bank of the Ganges houses a temple to Lakshmana. It is believed that Lakshmana carried out penances here. Day 05 : Rudraprayag - Haridwar

Drive to Haridwar (170 Kms /5 Hrs drive). Haridwar is the gateway to the four pilgrimages of Uttaranchal .It's also your starting point on the journey to the sacred sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna Rivers. According to legend, Prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to Sage Kapila's curse. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth from Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived the sons of King Sagara. In the tradition of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for the salvation of their ancestors.

Places to visit are Har Ki Pauri, Chandi Devi, Mansa Devi, Kavand Mela, Daksha Mahadev Temple, Sapt Rishi, Maya Devi etc.

Day 06 : Haridwar - Delhi

The famous temple of Muktinath lies in the district of Mustang. Muktinath is a pilgrimage place for both Buddhist and Hindu. It is situated 48 km north east of Jomsom at an altitude of about 3749 m. Its main shrine is a pagoda-shaped temple dedicated to lord Vishnu. Behind the temple there are 108 waterspouts cast in the shape of cow headed pour holy water. Here lots of pilgrimage takes bath from the ice-cold holy water. The temple is situated on a high mountain range. During the festival of Janai Purnima, Hindu devotees gather here to pay homage to lord Muktinath. Another famous temple of Jwaladevi, the goddess of flame, is situated about hundred meters south of Muktinath.

There are two ways to get to Muktinath from Kathmandu. Either take a direct flight from Kathmandu via Pokhara to Jomsom, hike for a couple of hours via Kagbeni or trek all the way from Pokhara. There is also an air service from Pokhara to Jomsom.

Pashupati is one of the four most important religious sites in Asia for Shiva devotees. The Pashupatinath Temple is the largest Hindu temple and is considered to be the holiest of all Hindu Temples. This is a two-tiered golden temple with four silver doorways, hundreds of Shiva linga's shrines and holy symbols. It is located on the holy river  Bagmati, 6 km east of Kathmandu . Non- Hindus are not allowed into this temple. 

It is believed that this temple was built long before the Christian era begin. The Pashupati Temple was  built in the fifth century and later renovated by Malla kings, Its original beauty still remains with the beautifully sculpted stone sculptures found here. Thousands of Hindus come each year on Shivaratri.
