In 2024, the Char Dham yatra recorded over 50 lakh visitors, the highest ever. Nearly 41% of pilgrims completed the yatra within the first 30 days. The busiest period was from May 17 to 23, when 5,63,292 pilgrims visited the temples.

Challenges Faced During the Yatra

Despite the high turnout, challenges arose during the 2024 yatra. Health-related issues led to the unfortunate passing of 183 pilgrims in the first 100 days. Authorities continue to emphasize health precautions for visitors.
