Itinerary At Glance:

Siddhartha Gautama, born into royalty as the son of a king, lived a life of luxury and privilege in Kapilvastu. Despite this opulence, at the age of 29, he renounced worldly comforts in search of deeper truths about life and human suffering. His spiritual journey led him to the land of Magadha in present-day Bihar. After years of intense meditation, penance, and self-denial, he attained Enlightenment under the sacred Bodhi Tree at Bodh Gaya, transforming from an ordinary man into the revered Lord Buddha. In the serene Deer Park at Sarnath near Varanasi, he delivered his first sermon, setting in motion the foundation of Buddhist philosophy. Thereafter, he traveled extensively, spreading his teachings of compassion, peace, and wisdom. At the age of 80, in the tranquil forests of Kushinagar, Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana, the ultimate state of liberation. Sacred sites such as Lumbini, Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Shravasti, and Vaishali continue to preserve and celebrate his timeless legacy.
